Why aren’t my Year-over-Year (YoY) sales stats showing after migrating to Shopify?

If you've recently migrated from an alternative sales platform to Shopify, you may see gaps in your past data. This depends on how comprehensively your data was imported as part of the migration.

In order to calculate pass data correctly, StoreHero needs a number of elements associated with an order - the order record itself but also the order fulfillment and the order transactions.


Key Notes:

  • Orders alone are not enough for YoY reporting

  • Missing transactions are the most common cause

  • This is generally a migration data issue, not a StoreHero calculation error


Best Practices:

  • Validate orders and transactions after any platform migration

  • Review YoY reporting immediately post-migration
