Will updating costs in StoreHero affect past months?

No — by default, cost updates only apply going forward. Past months will only change if a historical backfill is requested.

Explainer:

When you update prouduct, fulfillment or shipping costs in StoreHero, the system builds cost history from that point onward. This is helpful to track and account for changes in any of these costs over time.

That being said, there is some situations where you would like to overwrite past costs.If historical accuracy is needed, a support ticket can be submitted to backfill costs, which recalculates past data.

Once backfilled:

• Historical months update automatically

• MTD, LY, and other comparisons become accurate

• Reporting aligns with the updated cost settings
