Markets Feature Overview – Tracking Profitability by Country

Last updated: November 4, 2025

StoreHero’s Markets feature lets you track ad spend and profit by country using naming rules, helping you see what’s working across regions and where to optimize.

What is the Markets Feature?

If you're advertising on platforms like MetaGoogle, or TikTok, you likely have campaigns targeting different regions. The Markets feature enables you to map those campaigns to specific countries based on naming conventions (e.g., using "IE" in the campaign name for Ireland).

With this setup, StoreHero automatically:

  • Tracks marketing spend per country

  • Calculates net sales and contribution margin per market

  • Provides insights into market-level profitability

Example: If you're running campaigns for Ireland, you can define that any Meta, Google, or TikTok campaign containing "IE" is mapped to Ireland. StoreHero will then track these as Ireland-specific campaigns.

How to Set It Up

Why Use the Markets Feature?

By configuring this properly, you can:

  • Segment paid spend by country

  • Track contribution margin (profit after marketing spend) per region

  • Make data-driven decisions on where to increase or cut ad budgets

This setup is especially helpful if you're scaling across multiple countries and want to ensure that every dollar spent is tied to profit—not just revenue.

Best Practices

  • Keep campaign names consistent across platforms

  • Review your market performance regularly

  • Update naming rules if campaign names change
